Patti LaBelle sprinted offstage, following a bomb threat made at a Wisconsin performance.

Following the evacuation of the theatre due to the bomb threat just a few songs into the singer’s performance

Just a few songs into a Christmas concert in Milwaukee, Patti LaBelle was immediately ushered offstage as authorities abruptly evacuated the venue due to a bomb threat.

Shortly after the altercation on Saturday night, a video of the 78-year-old singer’s abrupt exit from the Riverside Theater stage went viral on social media.

Hold on!” Wait!” Before being swiftly escorted off the stage and removed from behind the microphone, LaBelle cries out. As the stage lights dim, the audience can be heard questioning what happened.

The 2,500-seat theatre was quickly cleared out following that.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel was informed by concertgoer Catherine Brunson, who recorded the evacuation on Facebook Live, that it took place two songs into LaBelle’s performance just before 9.30 p.m.

“When we left, the cops had cordoned off the block. Many folks were rather upset at the time. It’s terrifying,” added Brunson.

Everyone left the theatre calmly, according to Scott Pierce, who was also at the event, but it’s “really awful that someone does this.”

According to Milwaukee police captain Warren Allen Jr., K9 units investigated the theatre early on Sunday morning but found no explosives, and there was no danger to the general public.

He noted that the probe into what had occurred is “fluid and ongoing.”

LaBelle, a legendary R&B performer referred to as “the godmother of soul,” has not yet made a public statement regarding the incident.

Pabst Theater Group, which runs the Riverside Theater, promised to work with LaBelle to reschedule the performance.
